First things first: <a href="http://www.rebeccablood.net/essays/weblog_history.html">What is a blog</a>? It is still a rather young invention, being only about as old as my son, Dawson. Put simply it is an online "<i>diary</i>" of sorts. A place one can go to write down their thoughts, experiences, and anything else that might pop into one's head... and then share all of that with anyone in the world who may stumble upon it! <br /><br /> At last count <a href="http://www.blogherald.com/2008/02/11/how-many-blogs-are-there-is-someone-still-counting/">there were upwards of 112.8 million english language blogs</a> cluttering up the internet. That is a lot of people logging on to the world wide web and logging their thoughts. You know... web-logging... uh... blogging.<br /><br /> Taking that into account I would like to move onto a much more enlightening question: Why would the world need another blog? And possibly even more important: Why would you want to read one that is written by me?<br /><br /> The honest answer... I don't know.<br /><br /> But I'm hoping that you (and I, for that matter) will stick around long enough to find out if this endeavor bears any fruit.<br /><br /> "What 'fruit' might it bear," you ask? (And even if you didn't ask, I'll still tell you!)<br /><br /> My sincere hope is that week in and week out you will visit this blog to get a little peek into who I am and what Jesus is doing in my life, my family, and my ministry. Through this simple act of opening up a little bit of my life and walk with Jesus, I pray that God might use it in someway that will touch your life.<br /><br /> I'm not sure what I'll write about week to week. It could consist of anything from my quiet time that morning to what I had for lunch that day. Please don't expect to marvel at the deep thoughts of the next <a href="http://www.moodyministries.net/crp_MainPage.aspx?id=64">D.L. Moody</a> or <a href="http://www.gty.org/">John MacArthur</a> everyday. Some days all I'll be able to offer will be on par with the collected sayings of <a href="http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0153486/quotes">Flint Lockwood</a>.
